"Noisy Pillars" Demo Preview

Due to the popularity of my "Not Another Comic Bakery Remix" featured on Youtube, and thanks to the many positive messages and emails that I have received regarding it, I have decided to do a follow up video to another C64 remix that I literally only finished writing yesterday.

The song is called "Noisy Pillars", and is a song I've remixed before in the past (although this version is far superior). Just to wet (whet) your appetite, I have decided to upload a very short video of the intro to the new video.

You can view it by clicking the link below.

Hope you like it :)

Busy, busy, busy.....

Yikes!! Where has the time gone??

I apologise for the lack of any updates over the past 2 weeks, but things have been pretty busy, and its so nice to be able to finally relax, what with it being the Easter holidays.

Most of last week was spent preparing for the Annual "Awards Evening" at my school which took place on Wednesday evening. Initially I was responsible for the all the IT requirements for the event , but I ended up being in charge of the sound, managing the stage lighting, technical support, photographer and video recording person!!! (I even ended up having to help finish someones powerpoint presentation as they had a big speech to do). All in all, a very successful evening, even though I started work at 8.00am and didn't leave until 10.30pm! - I love overtime.

The Awards Evening at Evesham High School - 2007

Infact, work has been taking up a lot of my time actually lately. This time of year is always the same - The IT department has a little bit of money left which needs to be spent before the beginning of the next financial year - so, we've just gone out and bought 6 new interactive whiteboards, 6 data projectors, 30 laptops, 26 flatscreen monitors and 30 new desktop PC's to replace the last few old machines dotted around the school. As you can imagine, I've been working overtime trying to get them installed, and I'm having to go in a bit during the holidays just so that it is all ready for when the new term begins... but hey... I love overtime (haven't I already said that?)

Right, I'm off now to finish painting our front garden fence.... So long for now!

Lost ship

I've been in a creative mood today, and have just finished putting together a 3D rendered-image that I started working on a very long time ago, but never got round to actually finishing it... That is until now.

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you 'The Ocean Princess'.

A high resolution version will be available shortly on my website www.stu-wilson.com

The Human Race

Hello again! I've been bored today, so I've written another song to keep me busy while Michelle is at work and Kieran is busy playing with his toys.

This one is another C64 remix, based on the well known (well known to C64 fans anyway) song from the cheap Mastertronic game "The Human Race" from around 1985. The original version was written by C64 legend Rob Hubbard.

It was rushed together in about 30 minutes, so don't expect a chart-topping hit. Anyway I like it, and I hope you like it too.

For Steve.......

Bit of a random posting, this. I was going through my rather large collection of home videos/DVD's and found a short little video that Michelle and I created 3 years ago.

"Ghost Town - One Last Visit to 227 Handley Green" is essentially as the title says - one last visit to the house where I spent a lot of my childhood days at. It was the home of one of my oldest friends, Steve Ready.

The video was shot only a few weeks before the block was completely knocked down, and its quite sad for me because I always remember good, happy times there.

This is where I was introduced to the wonders of Atari 8-bit gaming, well before I even had a Commodore 64 - Lone Raider, Electra Glide, Action Biker, Mercenary. I remember tragically watching the Challenger space shuttle explode live while watching the launch on the news in this house.

The Flintstones, Knightrider, Star Trek.... Many times we'd re-arrange the furniture in the living room so that it looked like the bridge of the Starship Enterprise (I'm sure Steve's mum was never too pleased with us when we did that!!!)

The various matches of Tennis we played outside, (and I don't think I ever won ONE match!!)

The big Flintstones painting in Steve's room!

The pricks who lived nearby and always pissed us off!

Anyway, the only physical reminder of this place now is this DVD, and I thought I'd post it here. Honestly, most people will find the video rather boring and pointless, but I hope Steve might pop on and see it sometime.

Oh... I'd recommend a fast internet connection as the streaming video is about 10mb

Floody Hell! - Who left the tap running??

Hello and welcome to my 100th post!!! I wanted to make this one special, hence why I haven't posted for over a week (nothing much has happened lately).

Anyway for this special milestone occasion I thought I'd post a couple of pictures of what Evesham is looking like at the moment after all the rain that we have had over the past few days...

Yep, the river Avon has burst it banks again (a common occurance here in the Vale of Evesham after heavy rain), causing much of the surrounding area to be submerged beneath the murky water. I took a couple of pictures on my mobile, so here they are :-

And finally, a nice panoramic image taken from the Workman's Bridge.
