We're back... and our ears are ringing!

CLICK HERE TO WATCH "TIESTO", LIVE AT THE ROYAL HIGHLAND CENTRE, EDINBURGH - 30/06/07

WOW!!! What else can I say!!! The event was unbelievable. The music, the atmosphere. Truely a remarkable event.

I especially liked the cool 'Virtual Tiesto' CGI set - which you can see in the video. Everybody went to have a good time, and although it was blatantly obvious that drugs were going on all over the place (as you would expect at this kind of event), there was no trouble and everybody was in good spirits - Wow, those Scots are really kind people, even when they are drunk and high on drugs!!!

We left Evesham at 11.00am on Saturday morning and reached the venue in Scotland at around 6.00ish. The event finished at 4.00am Sunday morning, and we arrived back home 26 hours after leaving Evesham!!

Anyway, I hope you like the small video I've put online for you to see. The quality isn't fantastic (well, it was filmed on my Nokia N80) but it should be good enough for you to see what a fantastic show it was!

I know I could never be as good as Tiesto, but I hope I get the same reaction from the audience when I DJ at the Evesham High School Staff Ball!!!!

I'm off to bed now cos I'm bloody tired!

Less than a week to go....

Well... It's now less than six days before I go to Edinburgh, Scotland to see DJ Tiesto perform at The Royal Highland Centre. I'm really looking forward to the event... I'm just not looking forward to the trip up there, and then back again!!! - a six hour car ride each way!!!! I usually get pretty bad travel sickness on short journeys, so I have no idea how I'm going to be on this trip!

It starts at 6.00pm Saturday evening and finishes at 4.00am Sunday morning. We're leaving early Saturday, and coming back straight after the event - without any sleep!!! Not sure if I'm gonna make it!

The only downside is that I'm going to miss the season finale of Doctor Who.... but hey, thats what DVD-Recorders are for :)

Happy Birthday Captain's Blog!

Whoa..... "Captains Blog" is exactly 1 year old today!!!! Yep, on the 24th June 2006 I decided to start blogging, and 12 months later, and after 120 posts, here I am!

To be honest, I didn't expect the Blog to last as long as this so, here's to another year of pointless waffle and uninteresting posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(oh, and thanks to everyone for visiting the Captains Blog over the past year!)

Panoramic Website Update

Well, now that I have my internet back, I've been able to update my panoramic website with loads of new pictures that I took while we visited my friends and family back in Essex.

If you've got a few minutes to spare, why not check it out. You can visit the site by clicking the link below :-

www.stu-wilson.com/panorama2/index.html

You'll find some new 3D panoramics from around Southend, a few in London, and some of Hadleigh Castle as well as loads more.

Back Online......

I don't believe it.... just moments after posting my last post I got a phonecall on my mobile from Michelle at home..... THE INTERNET IS WORKING AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Quite possibly the best news I've had in ages (well... in three weeks!)

Thankyou BT.... Thankyou AOL... (Just don't let it happen again!!)

Life without the internet WEEK 3!!!!!!!!

Yep... I'm now into my third week of having absolutely no internet access at home. Each day when I get home from work i check my wireless modem/router, hoping to see the 'internet' light flashing away, indicating that my connection has been re-established, only to see non-activity.

I still don't know who is to blame. Is it BT for messing up our line in the first place and having to make us change our number, or is it just a continuation of the on-going struggle I've been having with AOL disconnecting me all the time without any proper reasons. AOL state that they have no download limits, so it can't be because I've been downloading up to 40gb in 'stuff' every week! When we were down in Essex a few weeks ago, I finally convinced my Mum to go Broadband, and guess what.... she's already been connected and enjoying high speed broadband. If it wasn't for the fact that when I rang AOL up last week, and they reduced my bill for being a 'loyal long-time' customer, I'd probably just ditch them and re-order from someone else..... I'd probably be reconnected quicker!

Changing the subject a little.... I've only 5 more weeks to go before the school summer holiday begins!!! YIPPEEE.... 6 weeks off work. Oh, and a week on Saturday I'm off to Edinburgh to see DJ Tiesto...

...and speaking of DJ's, I've just found out that the school want ME to be guest DJ at our annual summer staff ball at Dumbleton Hall. Should be fun!
