Another looooooong day!

Its Ball Gown and Tuxedo time again as Evesham High School has it's annual 6th Form Ball, and guess who has been given the responsibility of doing the photography and filming of the event...

Yep. me.....

Which means by the time I get home tonight (just gone midnight I estimate), I'm going to be totally cream crackered after working all day from 8.00 in the morning.

Fortunatly I have plenty of Pro Plus tablets left over from the Tiesto/Edinburgh trip to keep me going through the day.

You can not be serious.....

Only a minor update this time..

HOW CAN THEY DO IT??? Not only was the last episode of the current series of Doctor Who probably the weakest episode of the new series, but I've just found out that it's official.... Kylie (I can't sing or act) Minogue is going to star in the Christmas special "Voyage of the Damned".

For heavens sake!!! What next? Madonna as a new companion? Sod it, why not just get rid of David Tennant and get someone like Justin Timberlake as the new Doctor.

Instead of wasting good money on stupid guest stars, how about spending it on some writing talent - Stories that aren't rehashes of earlier episodes, stories that don't revolve round running down corridors all the time, stories that don't rely on having mobile phones as key plot devices, or stories that involve saving the world by waving a sonic screwdriver in the air. Oh pleeeeeeeese.

Message to the writers of Doctor Who - if you plan to bring back those pathetic Psycho Santa's in the Christmas Special AGAIN, have Kylie play one of them and kill them off for good.

Rant over...

Don't get me wrong, I love the show - but if it carries on like this, I see Doctor Who going the way it went back in 1989.

We're back... and our ears are ringing!

CLICK HERE TO WATCH "TIESTO", LIVE AT THE ROYAL HIGHLAND CENTRE, EDINBURGH - 30/06/07

WOW!!! What else can I say!!! The event was unbelievable. The music, the atmosphere. Truely a remarkable event.

I especially liked the cool 'Virtual Tiesto' CGI set - which you can see in the video. Everybody went to have a good time, and although it was blatantly obvious that drugs were going on all over the place (as you would expect at this kind of event), there was no trouble and everybody was in good spirits - Wow, those Scots are really kind people, even when they are drunk and high on drugs!!!

We left Evesham at 11.00am on Saturday morning and reached the venue in Scotland at around 6.00ish. The event finished at 4.00am Sunday morning, and we arrived back home 26 hours after leaving Evesham!!

Anyway, I hope you like the small video I've put online for you to see. The quality isn't fantastic (well, it was filmed on my Nokia N80) but it should be good enough for you to see what a fantastic show it was!

I know I could never be as good as Tiesto, but I hope I get the same reaction from the audience when I DJ at the Evesham High School Staff Ball!!!!

I'm off to bed now cos I'm bloody tired!

Less than a week to go....

Well... It's now less than six days before I go to Edinburgh, Scotland to see DJ Tiesto perform at The Royal Highland Centre. I'm really looking forward to the event... I'm just not looking forward to the trip up there, and then back again!!! - a six hour car ride each way!!!! I usually get pretty bad travel sickness on short journeys, so I have no idea how I'm going to be on this trip!

It starts at 6.00pm Saturday evening and finishes at 4.00am Sunday morning. We're leaving early Saturday, and coming back straight after the event - without any sleep!!! Not sure if I'm gonna make it!

The only downside is that I'm going to miss the season finale of Doctor Who.... but hey, thats what DVD-Recorders are for :)

Happy Birthday Captain's Blog!

Whoa..... "Captains Blog" is exactly 1 year old today!!!! Yep, on the 24th June 2006 I decided to start blogging, and 12 months later, and after 120 posts, here I am!

To be honest, I didn't expect the Blog to last as long as this so, here's to another year of pointless waffle and uninteresting posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(oh, and thanks to everyone for visiting the Captains Blog over the past year!)
