Game Covers - Last Ninja 2 (Commodore 64)

Once beaten, but not destroyed, the evil Shogun Kunitoki used all his mystic powers to transport himself through time and establish a new empire of tyranny in modern day Manhattan.

In fear of Kunitoki's growing powers, the arcane gods used all their wisdom to bring you, the Last Ninja, across the abyss of time and confront your arch-enemy once more.

You arrive in this frightening and awesome modern world bringing nothing with you save your intelligence, skill and cunning and a burning desire for vengeance.

Will this be the final battle? Can you vanquish Kunitoki once and for all?

Kayleigh's Retro Isolation 2 - Day 2

Last Ninja 2 on the Commodore 64

Really fun. It took me a lot of attempts to jump on to the boat and across the river, but I did it quicker than when my Dad originally did it 8½ / 10

Gaming Memories - "Last Ninja 2" for the Commodore 64

Boy, I hated this game when I first got it.  I read loads of great reviews about the game, saw the graphics in Commodore User, but when I played it and couldn't figure out how to cross the river to reach the end of level one, I put the game away in frustration, not to play it again until a few years later when I finally figured how to beat it!

Since then, it has easily become one of my favourite Commodore 64 games of all time.

Anyway, whilst rummaging through some old Commodore magazines from 30 years ago, I found this from August 1988 and issue 59 of Commodore User.  This was my first glimpse of Last Ninja 2.
